The AI copilot for chip verification
Vatica is building an AI-powered debugging assistant for chip verification engineers. The platform sits as a desktop companion above electronic design automation tools, using graph neural networks trained on hardware simulation traces to classify bug types and surface likely root causes. Instead of spending hours manually tracing waveforms and log files, verification teams receive targeted hypotheses and next steps in seconds. Vatica turns one of silicon’s most painful bottlenecks into guided, intelligent workflows.
Henok Tewolde is the CEO of Vatica and a master’s student in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. He has worked as an engineer at NVIDIA and Amazon, bringing deep experience across silicon systems and developer tooling. He is joined by co-founder Henock Tilahun, who is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford and has experience building high-stakes physical systems at SpaceX and Boeing, and Ji Qi Ni, a Computer Science student at Stanford specializing in machine learning systems.
