FieldXR

Multimodal AI agents for field engineers

FieldXR is building multimodal AI agents that guide field engineers through installation, servicing, and fault diagnosis at the point of work. Today, field engineers arrive on site with thousand-page manuals, poor connectivity, and limited remote support, causing errors, rework, and downtime that can cost firms millions of dollars per hour. FieldXR’s agent sees, hears, and interprets industrial equipment in real time, delivering conversational guidance on any device in offline environments.

John Alimi is the co-founder and CEO of FieldXR. He is a PhD candidate in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University, where he is a Knight-Hennessy Scholar, and graduated first in his class from the University of Cambridge with a master’s in Industrial Systems and Manufacturing. He spent a decade building complex industrial equipment around the world and filed two patents across 120 countries during his time at 3M. He is joined by CTO Bolanle Oladeji, a dual master’s student in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at MIT who developed LLM-enabled semantic search at Microsoft.
