Civiq
AI teammates for local governments
Civiq is building AI teammates that help local governments get administrative work done without managing more software. The company is launching their front desk teammate, which manages permitting, licensing, and resident calls 24/7. As AI reshapes the physical world, every company building in housing, energy, infrastructure, transportation, and manufacturing still has to move through local government approvals. Civiq is building the AI workforce that helps companies and municipalities work together to build faster, safer, and in compliance.
Josiah Griggs is the co-founder of Civiq and a Computer Science graduate from Stanford University. He was previously CTO of an a16z-backed startup building coding agents for video games and has built and sold enterprise software to Apple, LinkedIn, and Merck. He is joined by co-founder Luke Griggs, who studied Computer Science and Mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis and previously built AI agents for Mastercard and healthcare private equity firms.
