American Tractor Company

Building self-driving tractors and world models for agriculture

American Tractor Company is building an AI world model and autonomous tractor platform for agriculture. Their autonomous tractors, powered by their vision-language-action model and agent orchestrator, determines when to plant, fertilize, irrigate, spray, and harvest. The platform coordinates lights-out farming operations while continuously learning from real-world field data. By combining perception, reasoning, and execution, American Tractor Company is building the foundation for the autonomous farm of the future.

Tyler Smith and Tilak Raj Thanga Raj are the co-founders of American Tractor Company. Tyler is a fourth-generation Arizona farmer who grew up working thousands of hours on farms before earning his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State and launching the university’s Luminosity deep-tech innovation lab. Tilak is pursuing his master’s in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University and was previously developing robotic simulation and early vision-language-action models for Google DeepMind.
