AbInitio Bio
Foundation models for biomanufacturing
Abinitio Bio is making biomanufacturing a design discipline. The company is building foundation models for biomanufacturing and is validating their models with real biomanufacturing data. Abinitio focuses on difficult-to-manufacture therapeutics and partners with biopharmaceutical companies and CDMOs to deploy models that cut months off the time it takes to manufacture drugs at scale.
Daniel Mukasa is the founder and CEO of Abinitio Bio. He holds a PhD in Applied Physics and Materials Science from Caltech and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at MIT, where he was recognized as a Distinguished Fellow and finalist for the Alzheimer’s Insights AI prize. His research spans molecular discovery, computational chemistry, and therapeutic discovery, and his research has been cited over 1,800 times with publications in Nature Materials, Nature Biomedical Engineering, Advanced Materials, and Chemical Reviews.
